Books are lovely, right? Spending a lazy afternoon reading good books and sipping hot tea is sometimes just what the soul needs, but books are also great as home decor. Who knew that books could serve multiple purposes! Big or small, antique or new, these home accessories are an excellent way to make a statement, create a more welcoming space or add an artistic flair.
Although there is a high chance, you already own books that could be great decor accessories, in this blog post, I will discuss five of the best decor books you need on your coffee table. After all, you can’t go wrong with coffee table books.

This incredible insight into the world of designer Tom Ford is an exciting read, and the black and white cover is a statement piece for any coffee table, including my own.

This book’s simple yet captivating cover adds a stylish flair to any living area and is excellent for those who love designer books. Featuring over two-hundred photographs, each page reflects Tom Ford’s exceptional taste in style. Even if you do not know much about Tom and his work, no doubt flicking through this book will leave you walking away, feeling rather inspired.
Beware: This third book is a must-have if you are considering either a simple monochromatic look for a more dramatic statement room.
Black and White (and a Bit in Between): Timeless Interiors, Dramatic Accents, and Stylish Collections
The cover of this book instantly gives away why this is a must-have for your coffee table – the photographs are insanely aspirational! The author and interior designer take you on a journey of embracing the black and white (and a little bit of gray) aesthetic. Whether you’re using different shades of white to design an all-white room or curating a grouping of all black accent pieces, you can’t go wrong following the tried and true designs of the author and her contemporaries. If you like to mix in gray as your neutral color, then there’s some inspiration for you in the book to include using pops of color to achieve a more flexible design palette.
If you’re an HGTV Fixer Upper Show fan, “Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave” is the book you need to read, and it looks amazing sitting on a coffee table.

This particular book is both aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable to read making it well deserving of a spot on my coffee table.

Elements of Style: Designing a Home and a Life by Erin Gates
Decor books are perfect for the coffee table, especially for those who have a huge passion for the topic. This black and white covered book contains inspiration, tips, advice, and an abundance of color photographs and illustrations. Erin Gates shares her expertise and her home decor journey, which she embarked on over ten years ago, which is raw, exciting, and honest. If this book were to be summed up in a single word, the word would have to be “inspiring.”
