Reveal day is finally here! After a long eight weeks, my daughter’s Modern Boho Chic bedroom is complete, and I’m ready to reveal it to all of you! These eight weeks have been fun and somewhat stressful I extremely honored to have been a guest participated in the One Room Challenge. I’m so thankful for those who followed along on this journey with me. Basically, I have learned so much about the process of designing a space and bringing the vision to fruition.

Girl’s Bedroom Before
Before we get into the reveal of my daughter’s Modern Boho Chic bedroom, I would love to take you back to what her bedroom looked like before. Again, it was very drab and lacked adequate lighting. In addition, the space did not have adequate storage for my daughter’s belongings.
Makeover Goals
If you recall from my initial ORC blog post, I share my goals for my daughter’s bedroom. The goals were very simple are noted below:
- Goal #1: Declutter her space
- Goal #2: Pair down her toy collection being housed in the her bedroom
- Goal #3: Give her a “big girl” bedroom
- Goal #4: Create a space that can adapt as she gets older
Modern Boho Chic Bedroom After
In the below photos, you will see how I met each of the goals throughout the completed space.
Overall, I create a space that my daughter can adapt to as she gets older. The color of the walls can change to anything from white to fuchsia. This is also the case for the wall decor, rug, and some of the furniture pieces.
As you can see from my initial design here, I made a change to the wall shelf. Instead of the three gold shelves, I opted for two white floating shelves. Also, I decided on a comforter that had a little more texture. The texture on the comforter gives the bedroom a modern boho chic feel.
Since my daughter got a larger bed, I also updated all of her bedding. The palette is various shades of pink, coral, and metallic gold. I was a little hesitant to go with an off white comforter; however, I just love the way it looks against the pink rug.
One of my favorite areas in her updated Modern Boho Chic spaces is desk area with the floating shelves. Overall, the floating shelves allow me to change out the framed artwork as she gets older.
The metallic gold in the decor really stands out against the pink and white. I absolutely love this chair I purchased at CB2.
Finally, the goal is pairing down her toy collection was a success. I utilized many baskets to corral her toys, and I think she has the right amount of toys to enjoy this space.
So, what do you think? I’ve had a great time designing this space. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I have personally created a design for a space in my home. So, I was extremely proud to have completed the project on time. I received so much encouragement from a lot of people, so I thank you for following along this journey.
Without a doubt, I will participate in another One Room Challenge. I have several spaces in my home that need a makeover.
