I’m so excited to reveal my furnished covered deck!
We finally have some amazing weather in Northern Virginia, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally get outside and enjoy my new outdoor living space.

My covered deck has become an additional living space now that the weather is suitable for outdoor lounging and dining. We are planning to spend a ton of time this spring/summer grilling and eating outside under the covered deck. This is what I have been waiting for almost two years to do with the family!
I started off with just an aluminum table with six chairs, and I was determined to sale this piece and start over. I sold it, and I had a blank canvas in which to design and furnish my new covered deck.
I knew I wanted it to feel like an extension of my family room and kitchen. We sourced the furniture, rug and pillows early on; however I wanted to really style this space and make it more welcoming!
This striped rug from Target was the best starting point for the design. My friend Susey recommended it along with the initial pillows which are also from Target. I knew I wanted a teak sofa/chair combination or a sectional, and she found this great sectional on Wayfair. It is the perfect size for the space and really helps to anchor the sectional sofa.
I was on the hunt for a teak rectangular table, and I found this amazing table from World Market. I couldn’t be happier with this purpose, and I got it on sale! It’s just the right size for
The armless metal chairs pair nicely with the table and provide ample seating for guests.

I’ve had an amazing time changing up the tablescapes thus far, and I can’t wait to style it for fall.
As you can tell from the pillows, I am obsessed with botanicals this year. From the pillows to the tableware, I can’t pass up an opportunity to include them in my décor. This is an extension of the use of botanicals inside my home.
The tablescape was inspired by many trips to Pier 1 and World Market. I knew I wanted to change it up throughout the summer, so I made sure I stuck to green and white as my color palette. The pink was my little pop of color that I use sparingly throughout the space.
My Pinterest inspired watermelon fries was a hit this spring and summer. Check is out here!
I also introduced faux plants throughout the space, and I love the look that it gives my space without the fear of wildlife eating it up or the plants dying from a lack of watering.
