I’m am so excited to share my home office with you guys! As a consultant and entrepreneur, I really use my office daily. Although I am not entirely done, this room still brings me so much joy when I walk through the double French doors that were recently painted to break up all of the white in my home! You can’t go wrong with painting interior doors with a dark, contrasting color.

The very first piece of furniture that I purchased was for my office. It’s this larger than life St. James Panel 4-Door Sideboard and Open Hutch from Restoration Hardware in Antique Grey Oak. Upon delivery, the pieces were put together by the RH delivery personnel. The shelves are adjustable, both on the hutch and inside the cabinets.
I was surfing the web, and I ran across a blog post where someone had purchased this piece. I immediately sent it to my e-designer because I had to have it. It was on final sale at RH, and there were only a few remaining. To say the least, I purchased this lovely piece pronto! Unfortunately, it is no longer available; however, the French Panel 4-Door Sideboard and Hutch is a very close match.
Not to be outdone, the desk is a piece of art. The wood and iron combination is stunning. This piece was a no brainer as well. It is just the right height for me to work comfortably.
This is the Gabby Henkel desk, and I found it on Houzz.
The armchair is an estate sale find that I haven’t gotten around to reupholstering. That’s on my list of things to do! I love the French country feel to the chair, and I just need to freshen it up with a coat of paint and some new fabric.
Speaking of chairs, my office chair (along with this gorgeous ottoman) is the newest addition to my home office. These new finds are from Arhaus, which is becoming one of my favorite new places to shop for my home.
My chair is the Alice slipcovered dining chair, and it works well as an office chair. My desk is roughly 22” high, so it fits perfectly.
The ottoman is the Charlie ivory shag pouf, and it is so stunning and comfortable.
This Surya rug is one of the few items that I brought from my old home. It is 100% wool rug, and it very well constructed.
My plan for lighting wasn’t executed so well. I installed two recessed lights in the center of the room, and two prewires for pendant lighting above the bookcase.
My immediate plans for this space are to add a chandelier and remove the recessed lights. I also want to add a decorative molding behind the desk for added contrast and depth.
