This blog post is made in collaboration with Walmart and all my opinions are my own.
Have you seen Gap Home Collection at Walmart? If not, where have you been? I know you’re thinking Walmart x Gap? Yes, this collection features some amazing home décor, bedding, bath, and tabletop items. Additionally, a lot of items are made with organic cotton and recycled materials.
I partnered with Walmart Home to bring you some of my favorite items from their Gap Home Collection. Here’s the interesting part….these items are exclusive to Walmart Home and can be found at Walmart.com.
I am getting my guest room ready for hosting guests now that things are opening back up. That said, I’m starting with a very blank canvas. As such, Walmart is my go-to destination for timeless, modern bedding to match my evolving style.
Gap Home Collection Bedding
Although this Gap Home Collection has lots of neutrals, there are also beautiful colors and textures in the collection. This super-soft Washed Denim Reversible Organic Cotton Comforter Set and Percale Easy Care Sheet Set is a great base for some subtle color.
Likewise, the Frayed Denim decorative throw pillows help create a casual, elegant guest bedroom vibe. I didn’t want to stop there? Nope, I had to layer in more texture with these Sabine Woven Fringe pillows from the My Texas House collection. Similarly, the Gap Home and My Texas House pieces coordinate so well for this easy, comfortable look. I am happy to marry the two collections to create a fun, approachable guest bedroom.
Additionally, I added more soft pale pink and texture to elevate the look of the bed. This chunky Cameron Tufted Cotton Throw in Rose Smoke gives this space a real cozy feel. No doubt, your guests will thank you for the added comfort.
And I’m not stopping there…this Parker Tufted Cotton Oblong pillow is the perfect way to layer in yet more texture while maintaining a simple, neutral look. I love the tassels on this pillow as they add the whimsical element and interest needed to keep your gaze.
Since I went with a headboard instead of a platform bed, I used this bed skirt to hide my box spring. This pleated bed skirt is the perfect solution for creating a hotel look and feel for a guest room.
Monochromatic Guest Room and Bath @ Walmart Home
I pulled together a monochromatic mood board of my favorite gray and white pieces from the Gap Home collection. Again, this definitely gives a guest room an AirBnB or hotel vibe. Do you prefer color or a monochromatic look in your bedrooms? Comment below your preference.
Don’t forget the bathroom if you have an ensuite with your guest bedroom. These bath accessories are perfect for tying the spaces together.
All Shades of Blue Guest – Quissential Gap Home
Undeniably, Gap is notorious for its blue and white aesthetic. Whether it’s clothing or bedding basics, you can’t go wrong with a classic blue and white palette. I think this Gap Home collection look is great for a coastal look and can easily achieve a masculine guest room vibe.
If I had another guest room to decorate, this look would win out easily. I would pair the blue and white with matte black or gold accents to give the space a more elegant look.
Pops of Color in the Guest Room and Bath
In contrast, the below design incorporates a pop of color with the yellow and blue pattern look. Of course, this look fits the lake house or coastal guest bedroom design easily. I could easily fit a more modern aesthetic as well. Honestly, I am feeling these Gap Home collection patterns to include the florals and stripes. This Walmart collection is definitely giving me a timeless American style for modern living.
Whether you are decorating your guest room, dorm room, or your very first apartment, check out the Gap Home collection at Walmart for these great looks.
