It’s wintertime, and I’m coming off of the high of the holidays. It’s the most stressful time of the year for me, and I am in full-on recovery mode. I’m also starting off the new year by focusing on self-care; therefore I want to curate some winter self-care items to gift to yourself. Often we give everyone gifts in our families, and we forget to gift ourselves the things that help us recharge this time of the year.
The majority of the items on the self-care list are geared towards women; however, some can be used by men for self-care. Men, if you’re looking to gift your significant other some self-care items, this list is for you as well.
Self-Care Gift Ideas
I want to start this self-care list with products for the head then move down the body to one of my favorite places to paper, the feet. In my opinion, we should take a holistic approach to self-care hence the list of head to toe products.
Project 62 Woodgrain Oil Diffuser and Aura Cacia Discover Relaxation Kit
To set the mood for our self-care evening, let’s use an oil diffuser with essential oils. I purchased this oil diffuser at the pandemic’s height because I needed to find ways to relax and unwind. Combining the diffuser and oils is perfect for when you have a lot of time to pamper yourself or days when you want to relax and decompress.
Aura Cacia Discover Essential Oils Kit
Let’s start with self-care items for your head and face. I use a lot of these items myself, so I recommend them if you enjoy pampering yourself.
Grace Eleyae The Slap
The Slap is a satin lined cap that is so amazing. I have three of them, and they are perfect for keeping your hair contained as you care for your face. They come in several colors and sizes.
Kopari Coconut Melt
This product has so many uses; however, it’s a great makeup remover. The first step in the pampering process is to remove all of your makeup. It’s quite effective and gentle in removing all of your makeup. No need for multiple products because Korpari is multi-use, such as a hair mask and body moisturizer. Remember…taking off your makeup at night is a form of self-care.
Loops Variety Loop Set of 5 Face Masks
Once you clean your face with your favorite products, don’t forget to use a facial mask for moisturizing your face. I recommend The Clean Slate Mask, which contains Hawaiian clay that will purify your pores and hydrate your skin.
Spa Science Face and Body Contouring Roller
If you haven’t tried a face roller as part of your skincare regimen, run out and get this one. The stainless steel globes can be removed (and frozen) to help to depuff areas around your eyes and reduce fine lines. Remember never to roll downwards, always up! Please add one of these as part of your self-care journey.
Josie Maran Argan Face Oil
The winter months are very drying to our skin, especially our faces. An argan face oil by Josie Maran is all you need to wrap up your skincare routine for the night.
Lil Sire Tigressa Velvet Eye Pillow
Don’t you love the feel of velvet? If so, check out this fragrance filled (lavender) eye pillow. It’s perfect for a good night’s rest after pampering yourself. These are also great if you want to take a little self-care during your work day, especially if you’re looking at a computer screen a lot.
Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil
Now, let’s give some self-care to our hands. Again, the winter weather and excessive hand washing do a number on our hands, especially our cuticles. I personally love a good cuticle oil to soften my cuticles instead of trimming them.
Patchology Self-Warming Hand & Cuticle Mask
Now that your cuticles are taken care of, it’s time to go even further with your hands’ self-care. This self-warming hand and cuticle mask is the perfect way to promote healing and renew your hands’ texture.
Rituals Bath and Body Set
It’s now time to pamper the rest of your body. The perfect way to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize is with this bath and body set by Rituals. If you have dry, dull skin, check out this curated set of products that will take your self-care journey to the next level.
Tocca Mini Eau De ParfumOutremer Eau De Toilette
Now that you’re clean spritz yourself with a little smell good! The Tocca Mini Eau De Parfume fragrance offers a fresh and feminine smell for the most discerning ladies.
Threshold Signature Spa Bath Robe
Who loves a soft bathrobe after a nice bath or shower? This Target white fluffy robe is affordable and cozy.
HoMedics Bubble Bliss Deluxe Foot Spa
Now that the hands are soft and supple let’s take care of our feet. If you’re like me, I experience dryness with my feet a lot. This foot spa provides heat and massage for your tired, dry feet.
Patchology Foot Mask
This luxurious foot peel treatment is exactly what you need to lock in all of the moisture from the foot spa. Also, the ingredients increase cell turnover and encourage dead skin to slough off. It takes anywhere from 3-7 days for the process to work.
Minnetonka Women’s Suede Chesney Slipper
These slippers are amazing! I just purchased them as a pre-Christmas gift for myself. Of course, they are more affordable than the Ugg slippers and just a plush. They are sure to protect your feet from the cold and also keep your feet feeling soft.
