I’m excited to decorate the front porch for fall. I wanted to create a welcoming entry for our guests (and of course the UPS and FedEx delivery guy). I’m still on this journey of embracing color, so I was really excited to add orange, white and green pumpkins and gourds to the neutral palette.

We got a head start this year and picked up our pumpkins from the farm market stand opening weekend. It was over 90 degrees that Saturday but we were determined to pick up all of the fall goodies that we’ve come to enjoy such as apple butter, kettle corn, pumpkin butter and honey.

I am excited to show you how I decorated my front porch for the fall so please stick around.

Over the years, I have primarily purchased associated mums and a few small pumpkins. This year, I knew the I needed to bring the inside out to create the synergy within my fall decor. This means color, color, color in the pumpkins, mums and gourds.

I maintained the outdoor striped pillows from Pottery Barn since they work well with the color of the house and the fall color palette. The color really pops next to the off white cushions on the lounge chairs.

I placed some pumpkin filler in the lanterns that I purchased years ago from Pier 1. These match the exterior of the home perfectly and works well with the added fall color palette.

These wooden bushel baskets are a great way to contain your mums.

The wooden crates from Michaels was a DIY to add contrast to the white-washed lounge chairs. I used some leftover stain to give the crates a weathered look. They are perfect for holding the pumpkins and gourds.

You can’t go wrong with a layered rug and doormat for the fall season. This combination from Kirklands works well with the color palette and the rest of the decor.

Last but not least is this gorgeous, custom wreath that I purchased from Etsy. I opted for the brown buffalo check instead of the black and white. It accents the decor perfectly.
